Crowntail Betta (Coming Soon)

The Crowntail Betta is a popular variety of Betta splendens, recognized for its distinctive fin structure. Reduced webbing between the fin rays gives the tail and fins a spiked or “crown-like” appearance, making this type visually different from other betta varieties.

This species originates from Southeast Asia and is commonly kept in freshwater aquariums. Like other bettas, Crowntails are labyrinth fish, meaning they have the ability to breathe atmospheric oxygen and require access to the water’s surface.

Crowntail Bettas are typically kept individually due to their territorial nature. They do best in heated aquariums with stable water parameters and low to moderate water flow. Providing hiding places such as décor or driftwood can help reduce stress.
